Ghana in Motion: The Festival Series is a celebration of living culture—where history, rhythm, art, and community move together in real time. These are not staged performances, they are ancestral moments that still pulse through Ghana’s streets, homes, and sacred spaces. From August through October, we invite you to experience Ghana as it truly is, alive, expressive, and deeply rooted. Our Ghana in Motion Festival Series opens August 17–24, 2026, during the powerful pairing of Homowo and the globally celebrated Chale Wote Street Art Festival, where tradition meets modern creativity in Accra’s streets. Homowo reminds us that survival, gratitude, and community are worth celebrating, while Chale Wote explodes with color, storytelling, and bold artistic expression.
In September, we journey to Cape Coast for Oguaa (Fetu Afahye), celebrated on the first Saturday of the month, with our curated trip scheduled for September 2–9, 2026. Oguaa is a festival of purification, renewal, and remembrance, set against the historic coastal backdrop that holds deep meaning for the African diaspora. Our final chapter centers on Odwira, a sacred festival typically held between mid-late September and October, honoring ancestors, leadership, and spiritual cleansing. Odwira is slower, deeper, and profoundly reverent, an experience that grounds you and reminds you why these traditions endure.
If cultural festivals speak to your spirit, and if you’re ready for travel that is curated, transformative, and trusted, then Ghana in Motion is for you.
